Ingredients (for 1 serving):

  • 1 cup plant-based milk (such as almond, oat, or coconut milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder (promotes relaxation and warmth)
  • A pinch of nutmeg (optional, for extra relaxation)
  • A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ashwagandha powder (a natural adaptogen that supports relaxation)
  • 1 teaspoon ghee or coconut oil (for grounding and healthy fats)
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey (add only when warm, not hot)

 

Instructions:

  1. Warm the milk: In a small saucepan, gently warm the plant-based milk over medium heat, ensuring it doesn’t boil.
  2. Add spices: Stir in turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, and ashwagandha. Mix well until the spices are dissolved and the milk becomes a golden color.
  3. Add ghee: Stir in ghee or coconut oil to enhance creaminess and grounding properties.
  4. Sweeten: Once the latte has cooled to a warm (not hot) temperature, stir in raw honey to maintain its healing properties.
  5. Serve: Pour into a cup and enjoy this calming and sleep-promoting drink before bed.
