Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked millet
- 1 cup cooked lentils
- 1 cup fresh spinach (chopped)
- 1/2 cup grated carrot
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 4 whole grain buns
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked millet, lentils, spinach, grated carrot, sunflower seeds, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- In a pan, heat the ghee over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

- Approximately 14g per serving (1 burger per serving).

This burger is rich in protein from lentils and millet while incorporating cooling veggies like spinach and carrot. Turmeric adds its tridoshic and anti-inflammatory properties. The spices cumin and coriander aid digestion and help balance Pitta.
